• We’re currently investigating an issue related to the forum theme and styling that is impacting page layout and visual formatting. The problem has been identified, and we are actively working on a resolution. There is no impact to user data or functionality, this is strictly a front-end display issue. Finally after trying to get Mandrake 8.1 and 8.2 to work on my laptop, I switched over to Red Hat 7.2 and it works like a charm.
Mandrake no matter what would not want to work with my sound card in this laptop. However Red Hat detected it just fine. Wierd... cause I had no problems installing Mandrake on my main machine.
 
Maybe the fact that I was using Mandrake was part of my problem. Mandrake absolutely HATES my wireless card. I had to go back to WinXP 🙁

In any case, congratulations on breaking free of Microserf tyranny 😀 Just out of curiosity, what desktop environment do you prefer?

I know SuSE is just plain good, what I meant was that it's better on laptops that other distros.

Send me SuSE Pro 7.3? No need. I was a SuSE user for several years before I switched to Debian. Currently, I'm planning to switch to Gentoo.
