Pop-up windows. Used almost exclusively for advertising.

They are intrusive and unwanted, and they can be made to open others when you try to close them. That is simply intolerable!!!

Why do you need 3rd party software to "block" pop-ups? Why can't you just disable this "feature" from Internet Explorer options...?

I just think it is ridiculous that users are not given control over this "feature" by default

(my frustration is not directed at Anandtech's ad servers)

maybe MS and AOL and other big players use popups.... it would be against their interests. Thats why you use Mozilla.
