I honestly don't get why people ask this. Just edit the thread, deleting the original post and replacing it with something along the lines of "Sorry. I posted this in the wrong forum." Change the title to "delete me" or "..." or "wrong forum" or whatever indicates the problem and then repost it wherever it belongs. It would save having to wait hours for a mod to come along and do it for you.

Is there something I'm missing about this?

Your approach would work too, but I'm in no rush to sell. Also, I'm trying to keep the clutter down by not creating multiple posts.
