I am set on the $219 Pentium 3 Tualatin 1.4Ghz now after the review at toms with the adaptor for 370 sockets to use tualatins. I just got a new HD, keyboard, HSF and figured it would be cheaper to drop ~$250 on a 1.4Ghz setup, Ive seen the 1.4GHz celerons hit ~1.6GHz so i wanted to find out if anyone else was that lucky. Thanx for the input.

Pentium 3 Tualatin 512K 1.2Ghz ES(not 1.266) (9X150=1.35Ghz)
Celerons 1.1A 256K (11*125=1.375Ghz)
The P3T kills the Celerons :)

Before my P4 setup, I ran a PIII-S 1.26 512K cache CPU @ 1.5 GHz (9.5 x 158). Was a pretty nice rig.

I had a Gigabyte GA6OXET-C mobo. The only thing I had that didn't like the 39.5 MHz PCI Bus was a Netgear FA310X nic. I swapped it out for a Linksys and all was fine. Other than that, I had a GF3, Santa Cruz, WD 1200JB Drive.

Posted this on the mobo and Hot Deals forums. NewEgg has refurbishsed (whatever that means) PIII Tualatin 1.13 (256k cache) for $79 with free shipping. If they work (and overclock like most others do) then that's a great deal to jumpstart an inexpensive dual CPU system.

Oh, forgot to add that my Celeron 1.3 is running at . . . 1.3. :p I decided not to fool with the overclocking since that particular system doesn't really need the extra oomph.

Thanx for the replies guys,

Great OCs guys, yeah i have a P4 mobo (soltek i845G) but now i decided to build a friend a P4 rig and get the 1.4GHz P3/ adaptor and save about $200. It will be about the speed of a ~ 1.8AGhz P4, without a oc. :D I wont get a celeron, used a 900 C2 for a bit and it was slow, so 1.4 p3 for me ;) Thanx again guys
