Hey guys I have a set of
4400+ X2 @ 2.5ghz, Asus A8n-Sli Premium, 2x150gb Raptors Raid 0, 2 7950 GX2's In sli and single. I'm Getting REALLY LOW 3dmarks and I have no idea why. Can any one offer any suggestions? Drivers Are the Beta for the Nvidia 91.33 and the Bios is beta as well 1302.
POST YOUR SCORES SO OTHERS MAY BE ABLE TO ADJUST THERE SETTINGS :)

My clock on card is 570 Core and 750 Memory brand is XFX

Scores are
3DMARK 05 8700 Single 7950----and 8300 Sli 7950's beta Diver 91.37
3DMARK 06 5800 Single 7950----and 5100 Sli 7950's beta Diver 91.37

Single 7950 8989 3d Mark06 with Driver 91.31
SM2.0 3915
HDR/SM3.0 3883
Cpu Score 1870

Also I have got 8383 with the 91.33 driver but it seems like after I run 3dmark and run again the scores are lower by half......Strange I know but I have other friends that have that same issue with all the drivers

Don't use BETA BIOSes?

I get 21,000+ in 3DMark03 with a 7900GT at 600/1600 on an A8N SLI Premium, Opty @ 2.6Ghz and 2 x 1GB 2.5-2-3-5 at DDR480.

1009 BIOS and latest WHQL drivers.

It also, of course, depends on the crap you have running in the background.

Oh, and you probably don't want to have Cool N' Quiet installed/turned on.

ok I will revert to 1009 and there is no backround progs running and I have tried the 91.31 drivers as well and same result. So I will pop in the old bios and run again

Uh, you should not use beta drivers. I get 11035 in 3dmark05 with a 7900GT@ 650/1820 and you should be getting way more than that.

Ummm.... I don't think the 1009 BIOS works with the GX2. Notice that the guy giving you advice has a 7900GT, and that NVIDIA says you need the 1106 BIOS for the A8N-SLI Premium to be compatible with the GX2.

wtf is the 1106? I have a A8n_SLI PREMIUM there is no bios for the 1106 that you mention. Beta Version 1011.006 this? this is older than the 1 I currently have but I will load and test anyway.

Sorry, 1011.006 was what I meant. I knew there was a "6" in there somewhere.

I got 15,010 in 3dmark05 with SLI'd 7900GT's @ 700/1620.
And ~8,800 in 3dmark06 with same setup.

OP should be getting way more than that with Quad SLI.
And there is nothing wrong with beta drivers, but i'd watch out for beta bioses.

What are you doing at 1280x1024 with that setup of yours anyway? Crank it up to double of that and look again.

It was nice back then when they had FIVE competing GPU manufacturers, Nvidia, ATI, Matrox, 3Dfx, and S3? or whatever Savage4 was. Too bad that's not the case anymore, wonder what positive effects that would have on the market.

No its the drivers causing all the mess. If I reload the drivers and run 3dmark then I get a super score of almost 9k if I run it again then its in the 5k region :(
So I have tried just about everything to find and fix the problem and me and FiLeZz both have the same problems. He even swapped machines and cam up with the same results. I have tried Drivers 91.31, 91.33. and 91.37 and they all produce the same results. my PSU is an Enermax 535 sli and I have tried my 650 enermax as well and have the same issues. Also this with NO backround progs running.

You should try the 91.37 Quad SLI beta drivers. Xtreme-G tweaked version.

This driver is a Beta driver that enables Quad NVIDIA SLI technology, allowing you to put two GeForce 7950 GX2 graphics cards in a single system with an NVIDIA nForce SLI motherboard. This driver is strictly for end user Beta testing with two GeForce 7950 GX2 graphics cards only and is not intended for production.

If you own, or are planning to buy, two GeForce 7950 GX2 graphics cards to build your own Quad NVIDIA SLI PC, we encourage you to download the beta drivers here and try them out on your NVIDIA SLI PC. Please follow the steps below in order to properly set up a Quad SLI PC.

These drivers are specifically designed to support Quad SLI, 91.31, 91.33 etc are not. I can't comment specifically on them myself, since I don't use them (my current driver is still 85.96), however forum comments from Quad SLI users appear qute favorable.

yeah with quad SLI i dont care what CPU you are running. your gonna be CPU limited. even in 3d Mark

3D Mark 05 is a good example of this. when i overclocked my CPU 500mhz, i gained over 1000 points in 3D 05 score. and 05 was meant to be just graphics

06 does put some more emphasis on the CPU, and dual cores do better than singles in that respect.

though having checked.... 8700 in 05 with just one 7950 is a bit wrong. i managed over 10,000 with 2 7800GT's in SLI.

are u sure your CPU is running at 2.5Ghz? are you running cool n quiet? if you are sometimes if you dont have your PC on the correct power settings, CnQ wont work. for instance on my old ASUS mobo....

if i started up in anything other than the minimal power managment mode, the cpu would boot at 1000Mhz, and stay that way even if i loaded up a game.

on this MSI one, its the otherway round, it boots at 2500Mhz unless your in minimal power mode

No guys I don't have cool n' quite running. Yes it is the crap drivers nvidia keeps releasing and you guys can't compare 7800 and 7900 cards to a 7950 card. Reason is I got higher scores with my x1900 and 7900gtx and thats kinda why i'm asking for other peoples scores with the 7950 Gx2 to be able to see if it's my hardware or a strict driver issue.

It seems the driver issue that I was having was solved by disabling the Quad or sli and then reabling it to achive maxium scores
