Post your longest clutch miles

Inspired by another thread. So post it up, how long has your clutch lasted?

200K miles, original clutch, no signs of slippage. 2004 Acura TL. Can easily roll in 3rd gear at 15 mph.

When you're slipping you're wearing. Rev-matching is crucial on upshifts as well as downshifts.

The last three manual cars I bought new never had their clutches replaced by me. I got rid of my 85 GT Mustang with over 150K on the clock and my 90 Eclipse had about the same mileage....both went to others with original clutches. My 93 Taurus SHO is still in my stable, although hasn't been driven in years, and with 227K on the clock it still has the original clutch. I am thinking about putting it back on the road too.

I predict you are going to get trumped by a big rig driver.

The replacement intervals on those approach half a million miles.

Had a 3g Prelude that original clutch was fine at 300k+ miles, lost track of the guy I sold it to though.

The clutch in my old Infiniti was at 176k miles. It was starting to slip though, probably could of gotten another 5-6k miles out of it before it became to bad to drive.

Had a Del Sol in college with a 160k on the original and it was still going strong. Some ass hat killed it test driving it when I was trying to sell it. I was out of town and my mom let them test drive it by themselves.

I've owned manual transmission V8 powered muscle cars for over 10 years straight and doing mostly city driving with them I'd get around 60k miles out of a clutch, maybe a little more.

Not sure what this thread has to do with anything other than a bragging thread. Different driving conditions will wear a clutch out faster than others. I consider my mileage to be very normal for the type of driving I did. If you drove a lot of freeway miles you could easily get twice what I averaged without too much trouble.

Mileage alone is meaningless.

my first car, sentra had ~220k when I replaced the clutch. My 240sx had 180k when I threw a rod, still on the stock clutch. And my Mazda3 only lasted 60k, but I think it was a shop error. They replaced the long block under warranty and a day later the clutch burnt up.

Factory clutch on my 240SX was changed at 178,000 miles simply becuase I was afraid of getting stuck somewhere. When I pulled it off it still had plenty of life left on it. 200K would have been nothing.

225k on my old 88 Jetta GLI. Had original 1.8 16v, clutch, and tranny. Hell, I don't think I recall ever changing the tranny fluid as well. That car would go and go..

153K on my 47 year old Chevy. The previous owner told me he never replaced the clutch, and said the original owner told him the clutch was never replaced either. You can tell by looking at the engine and transaxle that the two have never been separated.
