Hi Guys,

I recently bought a new Inno3D GeForce GTX295 1792MB DDR3 OC Edition (600/2160MHz) and would like to see what sort of temps you GTX owners out there are getting with your video cards at both idle and under load.

I'm using RivaTuner and my approx temps are below:

Idle: 75
Load: 90

What are your thoughts all, are those normal temps for the GTX295?

Stock MSI GTX 295.

Idle: ~47C-49C
Load: ~65C-66C (In left 4 dead, everything maxed out, res 1920x1200)

Load is an interesting question to ask as the load is different for every game. My GPU never gets over 70C but I also have custom profiles setup in Rivatuner to turn the fan on earlier (< 50C => 41% **Stock**, 50C => 50%, 55C => 60%, 60C => 70%, 65C => 80%, 70C => 90%, 75C => 100%).

Your idle temps see really really high even for an "OC Edition" card. You may want to work on your case ventilation

Hi Elganja,

Thanks for your reply mate.

I have just recently started to use RivaTuner and not 100% familiar with all it's features.

Do you of any sites/user guides, which walks you through the process of re-configuring the GPU fan speeds in order to achieve lower temps?

Without even using RivaTuner I assume the nvidia control panel allows you to change the fan speed?

Here is a good guide: http://www.vaguetech.com/?pageid=rt207

But with your idle temps so high, if you followed a similar fan speed setup as mine your fan would be running 90-100% all the time. I think you should first try to figure out why your idle temps are so high (maybe even try de-clocking it to stock gtx 295 speeds to see how it reacts).

I'm guessing his card is running at 100% 3D mode all the time due to driver issue or some background program.

If you have aero enabled in Windows 7 Beta the card runs at 100%...my idle is damn near 70C for SLI'd 285s but if I manually downclock idle gets down to mid 50s.

For people who claim load temps that are 20C above their idle though...you should try running 16Q AA on Crysis :p

My idle = 52C
Load = 105C
