Very good.

Got stopped while in a parking lot with my brother in the car. I was practicing driving in the snow. I was doing figure eights around some light poles cop found this suppicious so he pulled me over. Asked me if I was doing donuts which I wasnt. My brother told the cop that its impossible to do donuts in a front wheel drive car. He took a look a the car and interior and left. Kinda lame yea but its the closest brush with the law that I've gotten so far. Which is wierd since I will go about 90 on a off ramp about 1 mile from a police station. Yea some will say its stupid but its fun.

I'm sorta addicted to speed. Funny, because I only have 3 tickets.

79 in a 55
45 in a 35
40 in a 25

Yeah yeah, those are all 10+ MPH over; big deal. The cops always seem to catch me for the little stuff but are absent when I'm going 90 in a 45 or 110 in a 65. That's a good thing.

I have a lame-o seatbelt violation too, which I watched a "speed kills" shock video to waive the fine. I always wear my belt nowadays, but I assure you, speed doesn't kill; it's the slowing down that hurts the most.

Me too. The list is far too long. I've been stopped more times than I can count. I've had guns pulled on me twice, had my car searched, been followed for miles, like I said the list is long. Yet, I've only ever had one speeding ticket on my licence.

When I was fifteen, I had an assault with a deadly weapon charge that was dropped. Essentially, a group of us got the rather brilliant idea that it would be fun to drive around shooting pedestrians and bicyclists with a pellet gun, and while we were out that night, one of the targets got a good description of the car. Turns out the involved officer recognized the car as belonging to this particular friend of mine, and we ended up getting a call that night from the local police. They ended up charging all of us with assault as those of us sitting in the back seat at the time didn't have our stories straight as to who was in which seat when.. (note that I never actually shot anyone with the pellet gun) They ended up dropping the charges against me, and the guy who did actually fire the gun got to spend some time at "The Ranch", a local youth detention facility. I stopped hanging out with those people after that...

During my street-racing days, I've been pulled over a number of times, but the only ticket I got during all of that was an exhibition of speed when I lit the tires pulling out of a gas station..

Lots of speeding tickets over the years, too.

I havent got a ticket.. in what 5 years of my driving here in the US.

I have been stopped Once by a motorcycle cop while on my motorcycle. I was following him on my way back from the bank. We came to a stop sign, he was ahead so he got to it, stopped and then took off. I came to teh stop sign, waited until the other side car started to move (time 2-3 seconds) before taking off. While I was approaching him his flashers went on and he promptly pulled me over. He pulls along side checks my bike out. I ask him what I did wrong. He asks for my licence and I show it to him. He sees the M1 cert and then says do you know why I stopped you. I said "no", he said "you did not make a complete stop". From my point of view it was a complete stop, but according to him my foot was to go to the ground. I normally dont put my foot to the ground for a quick stop and frankly I thought that wasnt fair that he was picking on me. I guess he wanted to make sure I am a good rider and stuff. I asked him if it was necessary by law to put my foot down, initially he was like "i can ticket you for not co-operating" and I go "I am asking you a question regarding what the law on this is" and he finally did say yes you need to put your foot down. However i later checked with some other cop who confirmed that normally they dont bother as long as we make a stop. The Law allows motorcycles to make a non-foot stop if they feel that a car behind them is not too attentive to them. The idea is that if you dont have your foot down you can get out of an ugly situation fast.

Anyway other than that I have got rear ended once in 1999, took about 3K of damage. Then a couple of months back my now *dead* toyota got rear ended while parked.. that never got resolved due the court cases and all that.. anycase I dont freaking care now. Then I got into my motorcycle accident last year in June... That was 3K or so in Damage - Suzuki was at fault they didnt test teh bike properly for teh 2001 model and I had one of the first bikes out there. It kept stalling. Anyway finally suzuki fixed teh bike up for me after the dealership dropped teh bike on a test run.

Other than that we had an accident in teh family. My dad, ,bro and I were on the way back from Berkeley, we had an accident 10 miles south of salinas on the 101 South. We got hit by a car that flipped over on 101 North and came and hit us. Our car = totalled, but no major injuries (glass break on my dad and brother's hands), other party driver unconcious, kids in teh back thrown out etc etc.

None of you wussies has spent a night in jail?

1979-arrested for posession of controlled substance, charges dropped. (Note to self, never moon a funeral with a bunch of idiot friends from a van with a sliding door while very stoned.)

1998-arrested for unlawful concealed weapon, charges dropped (bad guys who I shot @ were arrested & convicted within a month)-they put me in a small town jail overnight & the idiot dispatcher played a Moody Blues album over & over & over, I still can't hear Nights in White Satin without having a flashback of a dark cell, lumpy mattress wool blanket, no pillow & that fvcking music...(Note to self, never assume guardianship of a non-biological 14 year old ex-stepdaughter you haven't interacted with for 3 years & expect her to quit drinking & having sex because you felt sorry for her cuz her lunatic mother decided to move to another country) (2nd note to self, don't feel bad about sending ex-wife to jail every time you get a chance, she's spent 3 nights in jail so far, a nasty big city jail with crack whores for room mates)

Prob about 20-30 speeding tickets-I've gotten so good @ getting out of them, I haven't even had a cop write me a ticket in 5 years, just get lectured:D & I get still get stopped @ least once a month. (Note to self, cops are the motorheads you knew in high school & if you keep your mouth shut, give them a little respect & don't come up with a bunch of excuses for the dumb law you're breaking, they'll let you off)

I spent the night handcuffed to a steel table in a locked room at the police station. The cuffs were positioned in such a way that the only way for me to get comfortable was to sprawl out on the table, where I promptly fell asleep. The cops didn't like that for some reason.

I got pulled out of my car at gun point, seems someone had just stollen a Black Trans Am, and well thats the same car I have, they let me go after 5 min.

Got pulled over for no seat belt.... which I WAS wearing, I took it off to get out my wallet. He couldnt see if I was or wasnt wearing it... black car, black interior, black seat belt, black shirt. Think he gave me that ticket cause he knew I was speeding but I slowed down before he could get my speed, radar detectors rule. He told me that they dont work... I wanted to laugh and say then why didnt you catch me going 90 in a 55? I think he was just pissed so he gave me the seat belt ticket.

Got pulled over for 50 in a 25... got let go, was bullshitting with the cop, he saw CDRs on my seat and asked me if I copy stuff... of corse I said no, he said too bad, there is a place that rents PC games near by, and he copies them all the time LOL he let me go.

Got pulled over for 87 in a 55.... got 4 tickets, no insurance (dropped charges, just didnt have the card with me), speeding, illegal passing on the shoulder (which I didnt do but I couldnt get out of), and no turn signal.

I got pulled over for doing 70 on the Causeway over Lake Ponchartrain.
I got in trouble for being the designated driver of people under 21, when I was under 21 (still am)

Edit: Oh yeah, my fine was $198 for doing 70 in a 55. Don't speed in Louisiana

Even in CA, that's only like a $25 ticket. Why not pay it?

Indeed. Actually I intended to, but it just got lost in a bunch of papers on my desk. I had totally forgotten about it until I received the warrant notice.

I sent the payment for the fine ($10 in MO) out yesterday ;).

I was sitting in my car on a dark road. A resident there called the cops on me because I was being "suspicious." I was merely sitting in my car doing nothing. Cops searched me, questioned me, let me go. Stupid thing I did was, I apologized to the resident for being suspicious. Arg.

Delta-V kills.

If traffic is going 70, and you're going 90, you're posing a danger.
If traffic is going 70, and you're going 55, you're posing a danger.
If all traffic is going 90 (speeding), and so are you, you aren't posing a danger (anymore that you would be if everyone was going 70.)
