I think I've finally found a stable O/C for my HIS HD6850.
Please post your o/c speed and voltage. I guess I could reach 1k core with higher voltage but dont want to yet.

990/1150 at stock voltage

*more info:
HIS HD6850. The stock heatsink was fine but temp was going above 80 in load with kombuster.
Used Accelero s2 (yes, compatible) with 120mm fan and now its under 60 in load :)
using trixx as CCC seemed somewhat unstable with o/c (thanx Ravenseal)

Current game of choice is SC2 and it's much smoother now, there are no stutters.

Wow, nice.

920/1130 at stock here. I've been able to push it up to 960/1150 stable, but i don't need it clocked that high.

Seems like if you can keep the temps down, these cards fly.

XFX HD 6850 1gb
Stock voltage
850/1100

I use Afterburner (last version...2.1.0?!?) and I can't get the clock over 850...what did I missed?

I've had same problem even after i did the unofficial oc option.
so just use trixx instead. although I do miss out on osd feature.

I have a question for you guys. At what point do you reach 6870 speeds? 1000 core? I'm too lazy to google and I'm sure you guys did your research.

edit; nevermind , the answer is about 1000 core with a 6850 = a stock 6870

now you have something to aim for! :)

Honestly dude? Don't you remember what happened the last time you did this?

Why do you insist on trolling AMD threads. I am serious here. No one in this thread gives a hairy rat's ass about your 460 benches.

BTW, you are gone for a week maybe longer. I will discuss this with the other mods

haha happy, that was a nice sneaky way to bring in gtx460 into the thread ;).

but still 6850 was best deal at the time (1 month ago).

too bad sc2 has some bugs with it. Mainly the alt-tab issue.

Pretty happy with the Sapphire HD6850 (non-toxic version)
Been running stable at
Core 1005mhz
Mem 1200mhz
Voltage: 1.18v
Using Trixx
temps staying under 67 under full load

great purchase!
