*SOLVED*
Hi guys. im a GTO^2 owner whos NOT happy. i got my card about 2 days ago, and found out that it had 16 pipes out of the box, and was default clocked at 500/500 according to ATi Tool. i thought this was really weird but then again there were other examples like this. anyhow i tried overclocking the thing (still on stock cooling) and i only got 535 core and 530 on the ram. does anyone here know why this could be? i really was hoping it could go higher but i think its weird that BOTH of them are really low not just one.

I'm pretty sure its the stock cooler coz i ran ATi Tray Tools and used that to overclock the RAM and while the core was at 400, my ram hit 600mhz without problems. only when the core was 500 could the ram not get higher. gonna get a silencer 5 soon :)

Anyway post your clocks as well as any problems encountered so we can all see how these cards have done!

So you can get your card to 535/530.

According to ATI's website:

x850xt: 540/520
x850xtpe: 590/540

I'd say you are still getting a great overclock for what you paid for.

Mine unlocked with no problems, and clocks to XTPE speed 540/590 at which my 3Dmark05 score is 6350. My GPU temp tops out at 75c after about 45min of testing for artifacts or looping 3Dmark05.

damn guys. haah those are NICE clocks.. ok well i put my ATi Silencer 5 in.. im getting 6230 in 3DMark05 with my system below.. card gets up to about 545/620 but ill run it at 520/600 seems good. any advice about how tight should clamp the silencer down onto the card (the ram things)? Also, would it be worth it to put ceramic on to the ram and remove those thermal pads? temps are fine btw at these clocks.. 36 idle 60ish load.
