My only complaint is that you can't bounce emails as you said. Other than that I'm fine with it.

It uses the IE rendering engine which has a security problem every few days.

It also has IMAP support problems, and since I read my email via IMAP it's unusable for me.

Automatically deletes newsgroups from the list if it gets just a bad server response.

No easy way to backup accounts, filters, settings.

Can't disable HTML e-mail.

Can't disable HTML e-mail.

This is my only gripe, but it's a big one. Even if you disable images in IE you still get them in Outlook. I really hate getting spam, and I really REALLY hate Outlook automatically downloading images along with them. There is no reason in the world why there isn't an option to disable this. MS even has the option in their MAC client.

i think it's a statement implying that Windows is safer.....at least that is what a Windows thumper would say lol

i use Outlook and i don't have any problems with it at all, the images thing can be a b!tch though......some dude who was pretty smart (C coder friend of mine) said there can be viruses hidden in images somehow but maybe he was just handing me BS.

Two time snow in the last 2months when I have opened Outlook Express 6, it has shown up as a brand new install of Outlook Express and all my e-mails are gone and all my addresses in teh address book are gone -- and I have searched the computer for .bdx files in my profile (Windows XP) and they are tehre but EMPTY of any e-mails, etc. I have run McAfee Virus scan and even paid $50 for a new copy of McAfee v. 6.2 last night after Outlook did it to me last night again - No Virus I can find. heck, last night I even had the First E-MAil saying welcome to Outlook Express 6.

Outlook XP is way overkill for just email, plus it's got many of the same problems as OE and different ones.

Can't access more than one identify at a time. You have to close one identity before you can go to the other.

I also switched from OE to Outlook XP, since I got Office XP. Just for email is one thing. But there are other features that are useful to me- mostly because it has scheduling features and is an organizer as opposed to OE which is email, mainly. As far as security is concerned, I've read alot on that so far, including MS's white paper on it. Between that and visiting their product update page every so often, I'm not too concerned.
