I'm worried my parents will not be able to afford gas to get to work after this next hurricane, they're barely getting by and $3.19 (highest it got here with Katrina) was tough enough for them. And are we now expecting it to go much higher?

gas woes strike usually the day after drinking a lot of draft. i have gas worries at work sometimes when i cut one and then someone unexpectedly shows up at my desk.

the only real solution to multiple threads is if mods start deleting the dups and sticky a main thread (like this one). They locked a Red Sox aren't in 1st place thread this morning because there were already 2 threads on it.

I topped off this morning when I heard the $5 BS on the radio. 4.9 gallons in my tank isn't going to create a shortage and will hopefully save me a few bucks over the next week.

The day before Katrina hit gas was going up $.30 all over the city. I topped off an hour before the gas station near me jacked their prices up $.30 to $2.99. I didn't have to fill up again until after the prices started falling back down. I didn't fill up 5 5 gallon jugs with it. I just filled up earlier than I needed to to save a few bucks.
