Post your feelings when you lost/sold your first car

I lost my first car in a wreck. There was a van parked in front of a stop sign so I couldnt see it and I was running late. Combine those and I ran the stop sign.

Wen't from a 2000 Toyota Tundra Access Cab to an '05 Silverado Regular Cab base model work truck.

You bet your ass it was a sad day. I still think about that beauty...

You must be very young and/or had a brand new car for a first vehicle.

I love horse power. The smaller Chevy has a V6 and it weighs more... not exactly a winning combination. The Tundra was my first vehicle in mid '04.

my first car was a new-to-me 1995 mazda mx-6 sports coupe with the luxury package (leather seats / sunroof / all power / v6 engine). i loved that car and the day i had to trade it in (was spending the equivalent of a monthly payment on a cheap new car on repairs) was one of the saddest days of my life.

My trusty 89 plymouth was donated to a good friend of mine for free, after which I got a 92 mercury 😛 Both cars were pos's so I didn't have too much emotion about it. My friend tho just got her license and was thrilled (I think her grandfather still drives the plymouth haha).

mx-6. i still miss her. transmission went out.. but she was a fun v6 to drive around. then my camry got rear ended and totaled.. such a reliable one. my current baby better be with me in 10 yrs....

I felt extreme joy!

That piece of SH!T is now someone else's problem.

Same here...first car was a '77 Chevy truck - leaked about a quart of transmission fluid a week, and every time I let it sit overnight I'd have to jump-start it

My first car was a 1987 Pontiac Bonneville SSE. It was a beautiful car, great interior, *only* 150k miles. I drove her for two years and thn her transmission just up and died one day. I nearly cried. 🙁 I still get all misty-eyed thinking about her. She was a truly great car. Power everything, Bose sound system, 3.8 V6 that still got 25-28mpg, super comfy seats, huge backseat 😉 I ended up donating her to a Vehicles for Vision-type charity, and actually called them later to find out what happened to her. I loved that car, man!!!!

felt lucky and sad....my first car ended up totaled in a wreck right after i had reached its 100K mark (bought it with 60K on it) and somehow i managed to walk away with only a few bruises and scrapes

my brother "wrecked" my car while i was away at college. i loved it, but i really didn't care that he screwed it up because i really didn't use it anymore.
