What should I do with a the 4 lbs of beef tenderloin that I picked up yesterday?

Normally I would BBQ it with nothing or with pepper only.

Only tried it once but it was really good.

Normally I just brush the tenderloin with a 1:1 mix of olive oil and balsamic and season with salt, then grill on high to form a nice crust. Move it off the heat and cook it to an internal temp of 125. Let rest for 15 minutes then slice and enjoy the goodness.

My favorite tenderloin recipe is with venison tenderloin.

Butter (real butter), and onions. Cook onions until they're brown. Crank heat, toss in diced up tenderloin, cook quickly. Add a little bit of garlic. MMmmmmmmmmmmm, my mouth is watering now. Went out bow hunting after school today; saw dozens of chipmunks, but no deer.

I've only been lucky enough once to have venison backstrap when a hunter buddy of mine hooked me up. It's amazing how delicious and tender it is.
