I can hear it straight on to my speakers, but if I put my back to the speakers I lose it.

My 6yr old daughter could hear it down the hall.

I couldn't hear it about 10ft past the speakers.

Beats me, it's a recording from an LRAD generator. That can produce the most annoying sound (and deafness!) to anything with ears.

My phone's almost always set to Silent mode. I don't even remember what the ring sounds like.
