Just wondering if anyone is catching this season at all. This season has been fucking great. The past 2 episodes about the Eagles Super Bowl is some of the greatest writing they've ever had in the show. It's good to see they can still keep it going.

The "clip" episode from before that was also hilarious.

In the vein of this thread, I'd say this season I like when Mac and Charlie got back at the bike bully kids. Charlie checking the kid into the car was hilarious. While I don't think any scene was specifically great, I loved the Dennis doll in the first episode, and I laugh everytime we see Mac's stationary bike. Them distorting each other's memories in the clip show was a good idea but it was still too much of an actual clip show (would've been better if they had re-done some earlier episodes to explain things - like what the hell happened to Charlie's sister from season 1?). The other episodes had some fun bits but nothing that really stood out to me.

I think this might be one of the worst seasons they've done. Its had moments and I still get a kick out of their interactions, but overall its pretty lackluster. And this drawn out 2 parter seems awful (haven't watched part 2 yet mostly because I thought part 1 sucked - its like season 4 of Arrested Development, the show works due to the chemistry of the group, you isolate any single character for very long and the fun factor quickly drops). I really hope shit like that doesn't become the norm. I'd prefer they just end it or do like a single hour long episode a year or something if they're going to struggle to make a full seasons worth of content due to all the other stuff they're doing. I mean, I can easily go watch old episodes, so a filler clip show makes no sense, regardless of them being somewhat clever in how they framed it.
