You probably searched the video forums. That thread is in general hardware.

Can't remember exactly...

2048x1536 all high/reflect all 4x/8x 150+fps

I think any way...I'll run it again when I get home from work...maybe that was at 1920x1440 instead...:p

Ok here we go...

Ran the stress test again:

Nvidia profile set to "Global"

2048x1536 4xAA/8xAF HIGH/REFLECT ALL avg~ 155.13fps :) (ran it 3 times)

Nice, I thought...so then set it to 6xAA/16xAF high/reflect all and quit the game...

Changed the Nvidia profile to CS: Source(should have done this in the first place) and restarted the game.

2048x1536 6xAA/16xAF HIGH/REFLECT ALL avg~ 180.53fps :Q

Ran it 6 times cause I thought something was wrong...guess the CS:Source profile made the difference!

How do I take a screenshot?? (print screen??)

Athlon 64 3000+ Winchester @ 2.5GHz
1GB Mushkin PC3200 @ 183MHz
Epox 9NDA3+ nForce3 Ultra
BFG GeForce 6800GT @ stock
78.03 drivers

My default HL2 settings:
1600x1200
High detail, water on reflect all
2xAA\16xAF
VSync OFF
71.19 FPS

"Low End"
149.38 FPS

"Mainstream"
105.14 FPS

"High End"
65.39 FPS

"Ultra High End" doesn't like my monitor

1. There 6xAA is only for ATI cards. You need to enable 8xSAA in the driver if you want above 4xAA. Your score was higher than with 4xAA because AA was off completely ;).

2. You only need profiles if you want your driver to remember and switch the AA/AF options for every game automatically so you don't have to every time u play a differant game.

3. There is a screenshot key, just check the keyboard options, it's one of the F keys I think. It compresses the images pretty badly but theres a console command to lower the compression but I forgot it. Or use Fraps to capture the screenshot.

EPoX 8KDA3J nForce 3 250Gb
Athlon 64 2800+ (Newcastle) @ 2205MHz (+23%)
Leadtek 6600 GT @ Stock
1GB Kingmax PC-3200 @ 203MHz

Low End: 120.12 FPS
Mainstream: 70.58 FPS
High End: 22.06 FPS (6600 GT has a pretty steep curve :p)
I can do a sub-high end (1920x1440 with aa/af) but the water was missing
I play at 1280x960, High, and 8xAF which I get 79.34 FPS

Good point about the 6xAA. The profile for a game does more than just rember settings for a game...the main reason is each profile also has a predefined SLI rendering mode. Nvidia tests each game in the different SLI rendering modes to find out which one works best for that given game. So running a single video card it would only serve the purpose that you stated above but running SLI is another story...again, though I foregot about the 6xAA thing! thanks

Hmmm....when I get home I'll have to run it again with some 16x SLI AA/16xAF @ 2048x1536 and see what happens...:p
