not only that, but the thermal probes don't accurately measure the cpu temp period. i have 2 thunderbirds on kt133a mb and 1 palamino on a kt266a, i think they're really great computers for the price, but they can't read cpu temps accurately at all. worst one:

temps taken with mbm5. 2c difference from idle to load is unreal. as MoFunk said, an external probe near/touching the cpu would yield better measurements, but internal cpu thermistors would be best. if you ask me, motherboard readouts are total bs and show little, if any, relevant information on gauging cpu temps. i don't think comparing temps between systems with the same mobo are any better.
