Post your cheesy work-related database Acronyms!

You know what i'm talking about. At most jobs each database app or commonly used app has a cheesy Acronym...

For example, where i used to work in the summer our database app was called

"RUMBA"

Now at work, we have lots of apps...some of which are

"POWER"
"EAST"
"WEST"
"PALM"
"OACS"

I just think it's funny how you get so familiar with certain apps...yet outside of most companies no one would even know what you're referring to!
 
it must be early... i cnat think of any of them right now-- i know there are some funny ones though.. when i remember i'll post em'. .

reminds me of a joke an econ prof told us one time...

he was talking about.. well I'm not sure. Probably MLS or something. Anyway, he said "MLS (whatever it was)? You're all familiar with that TLA, right?"

we all knew what MLS was, but we had no idea what a TLA was. We were all looking around at each other, bewildered...

then he said "you all know TLA? Three-Letter-Acronym?"

Lots of "Awwwwwwwwwww"s and eye-rolling...

He delivered it pretty well though. I had to give him credit.
 
We had one called TAR that was replaced with a newer one calles PACE.

Then we had to see and hear "Keep PACE, don't get stuck in the TAR" on a daily basis.
