475 core
950 mem

the "auto" overclocker set it at 460 core 932 ddr. pushed it up a little from there, but @ 480 core i started to see some texture anamolies.

Just installed a few minutes ago and now to see if it's stable running games.

It sure is a Huge card, I was starting to wonder if it would fit my mobo. About 3 inches longer than my old Radeon 7500 32mg'er and quite a bit longer than my GF3 Ti200.

dont fully trust autodetect ~ youll need to do your own stability testing.

i have an older bfg 5900. it autodetects @ 520x1100, but in reality its only stable to 480x980.

manually slid to 480/1000 solid as a rock
dropped out of CoD and was 63C
grabbing Far Cry demo to tax it

Mine was stable up to 490/950 and auto detect sets it to 520/1000 though it's extremely unstable with tons of artifacts

now for some reason.. my card is extremely unstable above 450/850

I just got my new card. Its a BFG fx 5900. I have it running in my Athlon xp2500+ with ocz dual channel 2x256mb ddr pc3200 platinum ram, enermax 350Watt PSU, windows xp, abit nf7-s 2.0 board. I'am using the 53.03 nvidia drivers and I ran autodetect thrice in the overclocking options for the video card.
The first time it gave me a setting of 510/1.00gb , the next two times it gave me 454/957 and thats what I have set currently. I was curious to know what the maximum reccomended temperature is for the card, as i'm just a little paranoid about it. Thanks

How did the FarCry taxing fare? I've upped my clocks to a solid 475/950, runs FarCry silky smooth everything maxed at 1024x768, and netted me an additional 600 marks in 3DMark2003 (for a total of 5801), running on an OC Barton2500 (~2.2GHz) and a gig (paired 2x512) of Corsair XMS...

Im afraid to push it to your 480/1000, as the GPU temps seem kind of high at my current 475/950 (63C). Thought about removing the HS and applying some AS5 on there, but prolly too much trouble for what you'd get.

If your system is stable running FarCry demo at those speeds, I might give it a whirl, what the hay...

Well if you notice NV has the default alarm set at something crazy like 120C.... Im sure thats too freaking high, but Id be willing to bet you could nail 70C and still be ok.

Havent tried it yet actually I will give it a whirl tonight, free-time pending. Im actually stuck on a 1600+ right now so I strongly fear that in farcry my bottle neck will be the CPU. CoD etc can run fine on the 1600+ though.

Anyone want to denote a 2500+ to me?

Running 525/970....I have flashed my card though to a 5950u. I had it up to 531/990, but CoD gave me some errors, so I went down.

Mines running at 475/950, early model circa Aug '03, came with the "gold" dual-fan hs with LEDs-been running this way for months, no problems with any games.

Have you tested the stability of that OC? Man, seems these BFG 5900s really are overclocking beasts. My old Ti4600 was OK, but nothing like this.

Let us know how stable that is backwardsdog, thanks in advance,

434/918 with Autodetect :(

GameVE.com has the BFG5900.

RoninCS: Any negative issues with your flash? What bios did you use...Leadtek 380U ? I would like to get a hold of bios from a BFG5950U or even a BFG5900U bios.

It runs fine as is though. Still...gotta tweak.

Just a heads up - Stay Away From GameVE.com for the time being.

If anyone else here has been following the other thread (AT thread on gameve.com), you'll note that there is strong evidence supporting claims that GameVE has been selling customer returns as new products, and some claims that they're selling OEM as retail merchandise. Thread has really grown immensely, but surf through it and get any tidbits you can.

Looks like some folks at both BFG and GameVE are investigating since so many ppl are up in arms about their recent 5900 purchases.
