Post your Batman Arkham City benchmark results

I thought it would be nice to see what people are getting in the benchmark now that the new patch has been released. Please list specs and the settings used. Screenshots help. I'd post mine, but I'm not in front of my home PC right now.

Edit2: ok, I feel dumb. I didn't realize you could scroll further down the options screen and turn off physx. I must've turned it on when I first ran the game and never turned it off 😛

Hmm. Well my performance seems really bad even w/o DX11. The only problem I can see would be my cpu. Anyone have any suggestions? I would've thought my 560 would be able to run it with everything off despite my cpu.

After the benchmark runs it says press Esc. But it won't let me do that so have force game to quit odd.

Wait awhile. It takes sometimes over a minute to quit the bench; this happens since the patch. Minimums are unreliable - framerates drop for an instant

Core i7-920 at 3.8GHz/ GTX 560 Ti 448 Core FTW and GTX 560 Ti for PhysX.

PhysX on high; DX11, maxed details plus FXAA high, Tessellation High.

  • Average 40 FPS with 3D Vision enabled.
  • Average 59 fps in 1080p 120Hz in 2D

Yah i alt tabbed back into game and it was exited. hehe.

This game is fun, be awesome if they did a multiplayer aspect of it, like jokers crew vs twoface, etc in the city for a brawl 😀

i5 2500k, 560ti.

Leaving it at any of the nvidia anti aliasing settings doesn't really drop performance, but DX11 makes it drop to no more than 30 FPS staying mostly in the low 20s. I'd rather be at 60FPS so I stayed with DX9.

I don't see how they could release a feature like HBAO knowing full well current cards can't handle the load it imposes. There are some serious performance implications with HBAO and to make things worse HBAO is tied to other DX11 features in some games (Batman being one of them).

I wouldn't touch HBAO even with a dual card setup, what a sh tty feature 🙁.

I have my PC hooked up to my TV at the moment, so I was testing at 1920x1080. This is what I get:

Min: 30
Max: 113
Avg: 69

This is with every setting at the highest including DX11 + features and PhysX on high.

Specs:
3960X @ 4305MHz
P9X79 Deluxe @ 41 x 105MHz
16GB Corsair XMS3 @ 2240 DDR
3-Way SLI GTX 580s @ 860/2220

The weird thing is that if I set the SLI profile for the game to Single card mode, I get the same average framerate. When I play the game though, I can see the framerate dip below 60 FPS. It doesn't do this with the default SLI profile. Stays at 60 with vsync enabled. I also get weird texture issues when SLI is enabled with the benchmark. Single card mode doesn't do this. Something may be up with the benchmark for this game.

gosh, even 3 way SLI just gets like 70fps, this game is pretty unplayble on an average system like mine. why dont they just use the original engine (BM:AA) which looks pretty decent and is dx9 w/ good fps even got physx if NV.

what? Look at my stats. Its perfectly fine performance. Its not unplayable at all, far from it. lol

Update: These results were without AA enabled. I found that if I dedicate my 3rd GTX 580 to PhysX I can max everything out, add 4X MSAA, and enable FXAA though the nVidia drivers. I get the following doing this.

Min: 33
Max: 132
Avg: 78

Looks fantastic and plays great. nVidia really needs to do some work with their SLI profile for this game.

MSI Afterburner reports DX9 even when I enable DX11 features...

Is this normal, or am I missing something?

Edit: This is what I'm getting, settings below, and you can clearly see DX9 being reported by Afterburner... not sure what's up with that.

If you can see the tesselation on the roots and the lion statue, then DX11 is enabled. I'm not sure about the other features since I only run DX11.

Here's my results with PhysX off. 4X MSAA + FXAA enabled in driver.

PhysX is a huge resource hog.

You're tell me, lol... I knew I was going to be taking PhysX off my 9800GT once I saw it recommended a GTX460 for PhysX alone... 😵

Same settings as before, expect high PhysX on my 9800GT...

Crushing defeat D:

This isn't Metro 2033 PhysX that's for sure!
