The x86-32 ISA permits 8 architectural registers. So in 32-bit mode, the Athlon 64 uses 8 architectural registers, aside from its rename registers.

Just because the spec says 8/16 is the maximum, does not mean the A64 uses 8/16.
 
Okay, I determined there's something wrong with probably the PCI-E slot or a short somewhere else on the mobo; I got a new one and it works great now 😀 Thanks for hte help all!
