Well personally I don't play at 1600x1200. I play at 1280x1024. In CS:S and HL2 i'm getting around 100-130fps with most of the detail settings on High. It's the only game I've got loaded right now for testing purposes.

With my old XP 1800+ (oc to 2100) CS:S and HL2 was pulling around 40-50FPS, but with this new proc/ram/mobo i'm running over double the performance. It now appears I was heavily bottlenecked by my previous setup.

Haven't run it yet, though I will later on.
Out of curiosity, has anyone analyzed the program with Vtune or another application for profiling code?

I'd be quite curious to see how heavily AMD utilized SSE2 on a benchmark in which they presumably oriented to put their processors in as best light as possible.

Assuming no one else has, I'll run it later and pass along whatever data I find of interest.

The benchmark is only for AMD, so what does it matter how heavily it utilizes SSE2. You're basically just testing AMD scores vs AMD scores.

I get you. I'm just being an ass :D I don't get all these silly benchies... I run an a64 at 2.5ghz on a neo2 with 1gb of dual channel ram at 208mhz with a 6800gt going at 380/1000. All I concern myself with is how it plays games, as this is a TRUE measure of performance, all these benchies are for benchy-whores... I mean come on use your blasted computer, don't just benchi it :D some worthwhile benches:

cs:source 1600x1200 2xaa/8xaf no vsync 98fps
d3 timedemo1 1600x1200 2xaa/8xaf no vsync 61fps

Such is logical, but I'm sure AMD would be quite enthusiastic if one were to use it to compare AMD vs. Intel and there are bound to be a few that may very well use it for that purpose regardless of how questionable such results may be.

Also not all of us our immature, and do more with our life and our computers then play games....

Maybe something worthwhile like FoldingHome. Processing Dig camcorder stuff from this christmas, etc....Games are a waste of my time and I would rather have a gaming console to run on the big TV then this monitor!!!! What a bunch of chidren...Get ready school is back on in a week!!!!

Is that good for an Athlon XP 2100+ (1733Mhz), Radeon 9500 Pro and 1GB Corsair Value RAM (NOT running Dual Channel)???

Has anyone else had problems with running the program? I can start the program, and I click Run Benchmark, it pops up to a loading screen, and then *poof* it closes back to the main panel. I'm running an Athlon 64 2800+, 1GB Corsair XMS PC3200, and a Radeon 9800 Pro EZ.

By the way my cpu is a XP-mobile 2500, not a Sempron. I think. CPU-Z shows it to be a barton XP-M.

Ok, I just got my NEO2 and FX-55 up and running. I'm at 2832Mhz. My X800 Pro is at 551/551Mhz. Look on page two for my OC Mobile 2600+ score.

Looks like there is only a 151 point difference in CPU score between a Overclocked 3400+ @ 2700Mhz and a overclocked FX-55 @ 2832MHz. You would think it would be bigger difference? Both equiped with the same video card would tighten that overall score as well. Wonder if the CPU score would be equal if the clock speeds were the same?

How about people stop posting the whole text file...a link to a screenie would save a ton of space.
N-Bench
Overall score was 3254. Seems a bit low to me.

EDIT: N-Bench seems not to be affected by the video card very much. I upped my speeds from 405/1100 to 430/1500 (which artifacts like MAD in 3DMark05 and HL2, but didn't show any artifacts at all in N-Bench) and I got about 30 more points. I'll see if I can pump up my CPU/memory speed at all :D.

EDIT2: I managed to pull 3300 with my memory set at unstable levels (240MHz 2.5-4-4-7 1T) and graphics card at 430/1500.
