POST without CPU?

Will a motherboard be able to POST without a CPU installed? I ask this because I have an ABIT IC7 laying in my case atm and I just want to see it turned on...It sounds kinda weird, but yeah. I just want to confirm that it actually works. The little green LED turns on, so is this a sign of a working motherboard?
 
Aww...I don't want to wait another 3 days for this guy to ship it to me though 🙁

I want to see that boot screen hehe 😀
 
Yup, you'll have to wait. All the green LED lighting up proves is that the green LED works, in this case.
