Post-wisdom teeth removal question.

Hey, it has been close to a month since my wisdom teeh were removed. On my bottom right side, there seems to be a bit of bone sticking out. I heard that this can be just a chip/bit of bone and that I could try to get it out. Is this true?

I had a spot like that for about a week after mine were removed. Man I don't know why, but it was rank. I didn't do anything to make it go away, it just went away by itself (I assume it fell out or my gums healed over it).

If it has been a month, call your dentist/oral surgeon as ggavinmoss suggested.

Just grab it with a pliers if you can get one in there and yank and twist it out. That can sometimes happen because the jaw is basically confused as to where the teeth went that were supposed to be there.

I had my Wisdom teeth removed about 9 months ago and I had the same problem. The surgeon told me that it was natural and that the body will re-shade the bone slowly (saliva will wear down the sharp edges and the skin will cover over the area in time), nothing to worry about basically.
