I just performed a fresh install of advanced server2k
after rebooting from the installation of the win2k service pack 2, I noticed a new directory: c:\winnt\servicepackfiles
there are a number of files in here, most in the directory c:\winnt\servicepackfiles\i386, but all with the date of 05-04-01.
are these the files that sp2 *replaced* and can safely be deleted? or should I leave these files on the hard drive as they may be necessary in the immediate future or down the road? when installing the service pack, I selected the option not to backup any files.
thanks in advance for any advice you can offer.
peace
