j/k...again, internet shorthand, on the internet, should not be a problem to normal people! Contraction, making things smaller/shorter/easier is HUMAN NATURE! It can't be stopped, so you gotta deal. I agree it has it's place though; I won't address my professor and use "prolly" in a sentence...you prolly won't either!

The grammer mistakes drive me nuts, since I'm a natural proofreader. I don't grudge the net shorthand, the acronyms and such. But D prepare for flaming) my list of hated words includes:
fvck, sh!t, @$s or any variation thereof, b@stard, biyyatch (however you're supposed to spell that), d@mn, etc. The words themselves are prohibited on AT for a reason and the alternate spellings just seem so lame to me. As if your communication skills are fatally impaired without such language.

And most things 1337 just seem comical to me, not irritating.

I have hated sWItcH CaSE since the first time I ever signed on to anything.
And all the "one letter off" swear words. Get a friggin' thesaurus (note skilled use of the word "friggin").

I get annoyed with any "laugh" longer than LMAO. Just not necessary.

And when people in hot deals just refuse to use a whole word. . .
