I should break 70 million in another 8 hours, assuming nothing crashes in the night, but more exciting is that I've hit a new daily high of 2.16 million at tonight's closing bell.

congrats Tony! your recent Milkyway@Home production is tempting me to rejoin the effort (haven't crunched MW@H in months)...

You're using AMD cards, so you're sure to have good output. Nvidia's double precision is...lacking. (Titan's excluded)

Pretty good science going on there, and they've published lots of results, so makes you feel like you've really helped to do something. Some other projects are kinda like playing the lottery. :)

oh i'm pretty well versed in the in and outs of MW@H...i was using the same 7970's to crunch MW@H then as i'm using now to crunch Einstein@Home. i never did have more than 2 7970's crunching MW@H at once, and my highest PPD for the project was 1.22 million...but i do recall being in a race with Faxon for the 300 million mark not quite a year ago. his best PPD on the project was 1.98 million, so while i can't recall his exact hardware, he did have more firepower than me...the only reason i edged him to 300 million was b/c he joined another challenge and diverted some resources away from MW@H before our race was over...so i lucked out there.

200M in GPUGrid.
Now on to MilkyWay: 200M is the goal. :)
way to go Peter!

Congrats, TennesseeTony, on 70mil in MW@Home, and Petrus on 200mil in GPUGrid.

I finally just hit 70mil on PrimeGrid too. GLeeM should be just ahead or just behind me, he mentioned being at 68-69mil recently.

Edit: Going to work on 2mil in Einstein@Home. Currently at 1.2mil.

started thinking about how long it would take to hit 250 million on a 2nd project...Einstein@Home might seem like the logical choice since i have far less points to go than any other project i haven't pushed to 250M or beyond. but that still puts me 100M points away from that goal, and at 142,000 PPD, it'll take me almost 2 years to reach! i suppose i could put another dual-7970 machine on Milkyway@Home or some other high-PPD project and that would get me there much quicker...alas, i don't think its in my destiny to catch Peter :)

Peter ROCKS! Congrats Pete!

With my current setup(s), you guys are still congratulating me on 70mil when I'm now at 75mil. lol. I gotta be honest....MW@H gives too many points...but I'll take 'em.

For the curious that setup is 6 280X's, one 5970 double card, and a few Hd4850's. Three 8 thread machines and 4 dual core machines.

It's damned hot in the house right now, but I've got another 8-thread and 3 extra 4850's laying around if it gets REALLY cold outside.

For those dedicated to milkyway, I can't say enough about the 200GFLOPS Double precision of the 4850, found on ebay all day for only $30...a quarter (to fifth) of a 280
X for those old wimpy dual cores you have laying around whose PSU's can just barely support a 6 year old 110w PCIe card.

For those single precision projects, 1000GFLOPS ain't too shabby IF the card is supported (Open_CL 1.0).

On a side note, has Free DC been a little screwy lately for anyone other than me? My Milkyway points haven't shown in a little over a day now, only the other projects. In fact only Peter's updates for milkyway have been showing. Pete, you hack a server or something? :D

EDIT: Hmm ... I quoted Sunny129. How did Tony's name get in there?

To Sunny129:

Try a Collatz WU to see, but my guess is less than three months on your rigs, maybe only two months.

Also it would only take you a few days to get to 50M in POEM now while they have WUs!

Congrats to Peter for 180 Million, and to Orange Kid for passing 200,000, both in Milkyway.

And I second the Congrats from above to Peter. The man shall from here on be known as the Crunchinator. ;)
