Post Something Interesting

Existence is anchored in time, not space.

edit: whoops, less than 20 words . . . . ah, fvck it, it's god-knows-when in the morning.

Existence is anchored in thought, not being.

It worries me how much effort it must have taken to defy the 20 word rule in such a manner.

Not according to Kant it ain't; shoddy as his writing may be. Okay, I hate it when a person depends on a well-known figure to support their statement. But I gree with Kant - existence belongs in being, not thought - not everything thinks, and we still see them as existing. If we think of thought as the rational ground for existence, it very very quickly ends up being some kind of silly syllogism. So (according to Kant), a tree falling in a forest when no one's around *would* make noise, regardless of audence.

I think for something to be "interesting" one has to "comprehend" it first. I thought that was something everyone understood . . . 😛

Your loss, then😉

However, in order to reach the twenty-word limit, I must post some additional sentences. That sucks.

essays at 12:20 AM suck.

John Keats' life, while relatively short, was nevertheless filled with enough hardship for anyone. His relationship with his brother George was a convoluted one, a condition that comes through in Keats' "A Prophecy: To George Keats In America."
To anyone unfamiliar with the names of Keats' family, it would be apparent that the poem is of a father speaking to the prodigal son. The tone is one of

19 words...you lose! It's hardly my fault if you're unable to come up with a cohesive thought greater than 20 words in length.

Put your main hard drive in another computer
Copy the files over
Put the drive back, reformat, reinstall Windows

(Secretly I wish there was some source I could plagarize off of . . ..)

This has to be the greatest use of the Profit tag line ever. I think it's a work of art.

I'm terribly sorry, I cannot oblige your request. There are only going to be 19 words in this post.

lol Actually I just copied that from another piece I wrote, I was rather pleased that it came out to exactly 19 words.

See, then the drivel I'd turn in will resemble something more along the lines of something you'd turn in, being that it's your idea and all.

As alcohol is consumed, the levels of dopamine in the brain rise, as the levels of serotinin drop. Seratonin is an inhibitor, which causes the focus of thought in on one particular idea. Therefore, it only makes sense that as the human body consumes more alcohol, the less seratonin in the brain, and therefore thought becomes more dispersive and free. Whereas before, thought was secluded to one single idea and/or concpet, thought is now broadened to any and all idea encompassed within the human mind. The limits are determined only by the cognition of the human mind. So why do my thoughts become more free and flowing when I drink alcohol. The preceding information is, perhaps, explanation enough, but I would also point out how dopamine might play a role in this. It is quite possible that dopamine plays a vital role in the lucidity of thought, this would explain why thoughts also become more free during intense periods of emotion, physical execrsise, and physical ectasy when levels of dopamine in the brain are at their peak. This would explain why thoughts flow much like lightning during a sexual experience, vigorous excersise, and sometimes even drukneness (even though this is limimted almost exclusively to myself). Now people usually have a freedom of emotion whilst drunk, however if properly channeled this can be conveyed into a freedom of thought. The manifestation of freedom within the brain is merely determined by how the person determines to react beforehand.

Anyway, now t'is time to return to the argument I was entertaining earlier on the phenomenon of desecularization. It is interesting that mankind is meandering further and further away from the normality of religion. Indeed, religion is a word almost being considered to be synonymous with naievitie. As though religion were a poorly guised attempt to candy coat the world and offer explanantions that simply are beyond the realm of belief. This, however, is not the phenomenon I wish to discuss. I am moreso interested in why man has strayed from the norm of religion and why there are far more atheist and agnostics in this age than before. I believe the reason is simple, mankind is simply offered more explanations than before. In the 1800's, if an American wondered how the Universe was created, he need merely look in a bible.
