Small change can frequently found in couch cushions. Ironically, though, if you check frequently the haul will be limited. Check every few months and you can probably get pizza and beer for the night on it.

A boring job is better than no job at all. I keep reminding myself of that. :)

Shoo cats away when you're tossing logs into a woodstove.

And, in a somewhat related trivium, a flaming cat (ignited by a flying ember) smells worse than burning human hair. (cat was OK, got patted out before any flames were visible and actually suffered no skin burns, just a small crater in her fur)
