I certainly hope that beauty of a car in the back is simply a gutted but awesomely-rigged-up racing simulator.

If she's a full GT-R - everything else must go so she has more room to look wonderful. :D

Seriously this.

It's still beyond ridiculously awesome if that's simply a frame/body and it's a simulator inside. I've seen this done with race and racing-type cars before, and it makes me super jealous as a fan of racing simulation.

If that's a full road-worthy specimen, yeesh... what DOES that guy actually drive, and what else does he have?

I'm at the point in my life where I can hardly imagine having even a beater sit as a "show piece" when it's readily road-worthy. Yeah you got the rich car collectors, but hell, they even take them out and stretch their legs more often than not. :D



Wait a tic... I just took a good close look at the picture again. Is that a garage door?
Is the garage the man-cave?!
He drives a GT-R. And parks it in his arcade/home theater.
I want this guy's life! Or, at least his house with all current possessions. :biggrin:

Yup, garage door. He just parks his car inside and on carpet. That's asking for trouble if he ever really takes it out.

Figured that's what ya meant. Who knows - could be a mat underneath, it's specially treated carpet, or there's always the "give no fucks" approach.

It is some godawful carpet, fit for a theater. Theater carpet works wonders at hiding/masking stains and whatnot. So convoluted and high contrast, you don't really see much at first glance.

I would be worried about mold and whatnot though, so that is a curious thing.

Yeah, that's just a garage though with a lot of stuff packed in it.

I don't hate it though, it could just use a lot more space. You couldn't have all those pinball machine played together comfortably, nor would the people watching a movie enjoy that.

I have sat in some home theatres that even if I won the lottery would probably be outside my grasp.

It's not about a "setup" though - it's a mancave. A little different, though they can still be like a media center/home theater, it can be more.

Like pinball machines galore, and movie theater carpet. :D

Where did I say anything about setup in my post? Its design is horrendous.

Man cave or not, it shouldn't look like a box of 64 crayons threw up all over the place. Lol

Well you said no taste so I thought I'd comment.

I agree it's awesome because of everything in it. I also agree it's hideous because of the lack of design or layout thoughts, including the terrible choice in carpet.
But that carpet has a wonderful function: it hides spills and stains like crazy. Theater/casino carpet is a wonder like that. Garish to the extreme, but it works. :p

There's likely a wife factor in here somewhere: "you can have anything and everything you want, so long as it's in your garage. You want it in the house, I better like it." lol
So that leads to a cramped garage full of awesome, but screaming for more space to spread out for a better layout.

Not disagreeing -there is zero feng shui in that design. However, he has arcades, pinball machines, a leather couch, and a $100k car sitting next to the place where he watches movies. THAT is an awesome mancave.
