I'll be posting some here too when it arrives on 3/14/2007. But i think this thing deserves a thread.

Post pics (hopefully with at least 1 desktop shot and 1 in game)

Also write a little review of your experience going from your old monitor to this thing.

Do a search in this forum.
Plenty of topics on this already, this has been beaten to death already.

BTW: Check the SIG.

Wholeheartedly agree.

Here's mine. This is really the only pic I have at the moment; and if I hadn't lent my camera to a buddy for the weekend I'd get some better shots for you. But anyway, this is a 42" that serves as the centerpiece to my HT setup, and also happens to have my gaming rig hooked up to it. It's pretty slick!

Here's a pic of my 32w6 that I took way back in May 2006 before I thoroughly cleaned my keyboard. :D I leave the backlight at 0. It's actually quite a bit brighter than it shows in photos. Also, I don't know why, but my camera always introduces these strange artifacts into the screen. They look like bowing black lines that aren't there in reality.

yes, strange artifact there justnluck! One of them even has a yellow looking band on it, how strange ;)

Well, this was a useless post, but I'll be contributing to the thread shortly (<-- wills the IRS to send his check with much rapidness).

Actually, a 37" diagonal 16:9 display isn't really large for documents -aboot 18" high versus 15" for a 19" diagonal 4:5 display. But it is good for movies :)

Speaking of which....

Looks like a pretty good horizontal viewing angle there. FYI, PowerDVD 7.3 is available which combines HD-DVD and BD but perhaps more importantly for single-format users improves performance a bit. CyberLink support will provide the new version if you "have both drives". Otherwise just wait a bit for the official public release.

3" extra of height is a lot... especially since the industry is moving to a widescreen standard. Besides, by what measure are you saying this isn't a large screen? It's still tall than a 4:3 20, 22+ screen.

Word, I'll take a look at that....

I was just trying to get something that would work....and that's the only version I could find.

(!!!)

Seeing these setups makes me feel :disgust: for debating between 22 and 24 inches for myself.

Westy 37" 1080P version 1 or 2, forget offhand.

Moved up from a 2405 WS Dell and never looked back.

I so want to pull the trigger on a 37W3 but I'm afraid it'll be too much screen to look at from a close distance. I wish Sam's or Staples had one so I could check it out in person...

My other choice is the BenQ FP241WZ which is ~$800. I'm on the fence about it but I do not think I could justify buying a 24" for $800 when I can get a 37" for only $250 more.

it's not too much. It is just perfect from 2-3 feet away. FPS's are like being in the game, the weapons are life sized.
