ATTO Screenie

Above is mine...either ATTO is incorrect, or I'm expecting too much out of this drive. I think it's too damn slow.

But 78mbps reads and 93mbps writes? Is this possible off one drive?

I'm new to ATTO, just DL'd it last week...am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

OK, I will. Can you explain to me the point/purpose/reason why I should change the test size to 32Mb?

Link doesn't work and you'll use more drive cache if you leave it at default instead of 32mb

Holy crap. :Q That is the coolest damn thing...ever. You've no idea how my mouth waters at numbers like that.

That is some setup!!! There's Big $$$ and then there's HUGE Big $$$; that setup falls into the latter category! :D

402.6mbps reads. Dayum.

Well, I've got a 3Ware Escalade 7000-2 sitting here (hey, stop laughing!!! ;)) and as soon as my 120GB WD-SE drives come in, they'll be getting striped on the 3Ware. I should get about 25% of what you get. Maybe. Maybe. But hey, my system is drinking milk, and someday it'll be big and strong! Etc, etc.

Nice Screenie, Shuttleteam!

Don't feel bad, it's only theoretical performance.

Well, it may be true that the GLAN cannot keep up, but NLE and RW Scratch performance of this array actually exceed that of a RAM disk on an old Corollary 8 Way PPro barn burner that we have here! So it does live up to expectation.

Cool. That is badass, man. Do you have any pics of what this thing looks like? That would be neat.

Its not a actually ram drive (PCI card). Its a RAM disk; all it does is take away a part of your real RAM and make it a "drive". I got 2 gigs of RAM so I just allocated 768mb of it to be a "Ram Drive"

What program do you use to set that up? /me is interested.

Directly from Microsoft. The article says windows 2000 but if you check the end there is Windows XP Update. I am using 2000 ATM so I can't verify how easy it is to set up in XP.
