I got my 360 last year, June/July timeframe. A little over a month ago, it RRoDed on me, I sent it back and all that jazz. In the time between when I sent it back and when it came back, I bought an Arcade and sold the soon-to-be-returned system to my brother. When I came home for Thanksgiving, I brought it with me and he's been using it the last few days. He's been playing mostly GTA4 but today he bought NCAA Football 09. He's been having some freezes while playing; mostly when the DVD drive is accessing, I think, but he said he was just running around in GTA and it froze, too. Might have been trying to load something but I'm not sure.

I never had any problems like this until it was sent to MS for the RRoD fix. Has anyone had anything like this happen? The system is fine outside of the RRoD and when it comes back (of course, not the same system), something else is busted? It's outside the 1 year warranty, naturally, but I'm going to be pissed off if there does end up being a problem and it was something that wasn't a problem before I sent it in.

Read your papaerwork, if you returned it only a month ago it should have a 90? day after-repair warranty.

This may be the #2 failure point on the 360, dying DVD-ROM drive, $99 to fix if you are out of warranty.

Also check the discs to see if this is one of the DVD-ROMs that gets hungry and starts chewing rings into the discs. Om nom nom nom.

I'll check on it when I get back to my apartment. I think it'd be complete and utter crap if I have to pay $99 to get it fixed when I wasn't having the problem before I sent it back and they sent me a different drive, though. That'd piss me off to no end.

I'll check the discs, too.

I intend to. I was asking because I didn't plan to take the 360 back home with me and was just curious to see if anyone knew how post-repair problems were handled.
