I want to get me a new cell phone since my current Virgin Mobile Pre-paid is not the right service for me. Now im thinking of going with a $30/month Sprint plan for the next "2" years. I might go into the store and check if i can get a 1 yr plan, but i doubt it.

The problem is: I have no kind of credit what so ever. I have NO credit card either so can i even get a post paid cell? Im 20 and have a steady job, but thats it :confused:

Sprint was my first cell company. They, at the time, seemed to be lenient towards students without any credit.

Now, when I ditched sprint and got AT&T, they required better credit.

I'm unsure if sprint has changed their practices or not. Doesn't hurt to call them up and give it a go.

I got my first cell phone from sprint when I didn't have much of a credit history. I had to put down a $150 deposit and I singed up for a 1 year contract. After a year and making all of my payments the $150 was credited to my account.

Sprint was my first cell phone carrier about 10 years ago. I had a little credit and they approved me for 5 lines with no deposit.

There is only one way you'll find out. Apply and you'll either be declined or approved or approved with deposit.

First I would check to see if Sprint SERO's coverage is adequate for your area.

Im not sure, but it seems everyone hates sprint no matter what state :confused: . I asked a friend at work and he said he hasn't had any problems with them. I was looking @ there 200minutes with free nights/week plan for $30. It seems just right since i only use the phone @ night I know if i do get a 1 year plan i doubt they will offer the $30 plan i just mentioned since thats a 2yr one from there site. Ill run down to a dealer this week hopefully and check.

edit; Just called Sprint- No 1 year contract plans :Disgust;

edit: Verzion has a 1 year plan. $50 more for the phone and 35 activation.

edit: Tmobile has a 1 year plan also. More minutes though.

Do they have less cell phone coverage for SERO then their normal plans? Or do you mean just Sprint in general.
