I totally agree. I was trying to teach a group of senior citizens how to use computers and still remember this one guy who couldn't grasp the concept of the clipboard (ie cut and pasting). He thought the text disappeared when you cut the text, the reappeared when he pasted it. It was the worst time ever trying to get these n00bs to play solitare!

People who use 20" LCD monitors with a native resolution of 1600x1200 at 640x480, connected via VGA to boot.

Our "Computer Science", and I use that term lightly, teacher at my HS insists on using 800x600 on all the m-fin 1024x768 15" LCDs in the computer lab so that the elementary kids can play "Reader Rabbit Teaches Typing" without a one inch black border. Explaining the "Run this program in 640x480" option to her under shortcut properties didn't work too well.

So someone that has never used a mouse or keyboard - let alone a 500 year old computer program goes from trying to talk to a mouse to entering the formula and process to creat transpanenrt AL. ;)

Almost as funny as watching a banned member and the moderator battle it out tonight.

Okay, what thread did I miss this in???

And all the associated havoc that came with that thread.

I don't think that's thermal paste. It's an insulating paste for a TEC to prevent condensation from shorting out the CPU.

Back when I worked at ?The Office? eight years ago I always had my computers screen saver set with password protection. When I left I cleared my logins and sanitized most of the hard drive but forgot about the screen saver. The new guy who got my desk had been restarting my old computer every time he went afk for more than five minutes because he didn?t know the password to stop the screen saver. I dropped in WEEKS later and they begged me to fix it!
