just curious what everyone is into. so here's my list of stuff worth checking out :D

Hellsing - 13 eps - vampire type stuff - excellent show, enjoyed every minute of it. good soundtrack.

Scryed - 26 eps - people with strange powers type thing - good show - can get a little slow or annoying sometimes but otherwise good. i hate the ending :p

Full Metal Panic - 17 eps - mech type thing - great show - nice balance of dialogue and action. pretty funny and i find the story to be pretty good.

rurouni kenshin - over 70+ - samurai stuff - love this show - not a lot of action for the most part, but it's still an excellent show, very funny.

X tv - 24 eps - two sides with super powers will battle, end of the world if the bad guys win and yay if good guys win - good show - i like the story and the characters, good mix of action and dialogue.

hack sign - no idea - kid is stuck in a EQ type game - im on ep 2 now and it's getting good.

have only seen the subbed versions, i hate dubs hehe.

Only one I've ever seen in my whole life was Serial Experiments Lain. One of my friends was watching it and I just sat through part of it. Never really got into anime.

My suitemate thinks it's the best anime ever and went to buy the whole DVD set so I got to see most of it. Still at the third Disc, but it's pretty good. Kinda slow you're right, but the actions and the plot is pretty awesome.

Just finished Initial D. Pretty good if you're into cars / drifting / GT3....

Of Course I like Evangelion Better. Think I'd seen it over for more than 10 times.

Ciber:

Dang I'd never heard that complain about NGE before. Normally people just say it doesn't make sense. Good point though about the cable. :)

How about Kenshin? I love the OVAs but the series went kind of slow for me.

Kenshin's pretty good, but I just like wierd screwed up anime plot that NGE and Serial Experiment Lain has to offer

Is the series "Now and then, here and there" any good?

never heard of "Now and then, here and there". if you like weird stuff like nge you might like Rahxephon, it has big organic/mechanical type robot/monster things minus the damn cable lol...looks decent to me. Pm me if you need any info.

well I just bought the Evangelion box set, I'm slowly buying the Cowboy Bebop and Rurouni Kenshind DVD's (seen all of both already though)

i stopped watching cowboy bebop after the second ep....i just could not stand it lol......it felt sooo slow....

of course you'll stop after the second episode. Stray Dog Strut was one of the worst episodes. Watch at least up to episode 5, Ballad of Fallen Angels, that's gotta be one of the best of them.

Saw Jin-Roh not too long ago, pretty good, was expecting it to be more action, but it's mostly drama.

Can't wait for my personal favorite series to start coming out next month, Berserk.

Currently watching fruits basket -- I figured it was about time eh?

Also...
Chobits -- funny :)
Hack Sign -- I haven't seen any anime that took this kinda plot. So far it seems interesting. I like the music. Seems very much like Noir...(art and music...)
Ai Yori Aoshi -- umm...only seen 3 episodes. lotsa fluff.
Full Metal Panic -- funny. Not much of a plot -- it seems more like an excuse to put a military guy and a high school chick together. buncha mecha.
Full Moon Wo Sagashite -- lotsa fluff, light, excuse for bunch of jpop

Finished Kanon a little while ago -- good stuff.

Most older anime (series) don't even get started on the real story until episode 3 or 4, so to give up
on something when you have only watched a couple of episodes is like walking out on a movie
before the opening credits finish rolling.

The newer stuff is a little easier to get the rythm of right away, because the anime studios are
under more pressure to make a series popular right off the bat, instead of trying to build the
storyline slowly.

I can't believe LanEvoVI can post titles without mentioning Initial D.

My anime club is about to finish up Hyperpolice, and You're Under Arrest.

We also show Inital D, Kenshin, and whatever we can get our hands on.

Other ones I like: (some I haven't seen all of yet)

Yu Yu Hakusho

FLCL

Inu Yasha

Trigun

Mahoyugi

----

Just saw some VanDread and Devadasy at a friends house last nite, similar stories; my buds liked VanDread more,
I liked Devadasy more.

Cowboy Bebop: (26 eps + 1 movie) Great series and the movie was great as well. Can be a bit slow at times but usually makes up for it in the next ep. The movie also is great and I would have to say its worth the download.

Full Metal Panic: (17 eps out so far) This is one of my personal favorites. Nothing like alittle robot action to make for a good anime series.

Hack Sign: (4 eps out so far) All tho only 4 eps have been subbed and released this is turning out to be a very good show, I like the idea of being trapped within a virtual world alot since I am very into MMORPG's and the such.

Hajime no Ippo: (29 eps out so far) After hearing that this anime sucked from so many people I decided to check it out, its about a kid who starts boxing and ever since I watched the first ep I have been hooked. I have to agree I didnt like the sound of a series about boxing but it is very funny and draws you into the story because you want to see if he wins that next fight and so forth.

Hellsing: (13 eps) Is prolly one of my favorite series because vampries are just so damn cool. Its well worth the download if you havent seen it.

RahXephon: (7 eps out so far (I think)) All tho I have only watched the first 3 or so eps it is a very cool series, again this is another robot type series.

Read or Die: (3 ep movie type series) Worth the download, its a very cool series about who are fighting genius's from the past who have been brought back to life to destory the world.

Scryed: (26 eps) I loved this series, all tho it gets a bit slow in the middle the second half of the series more then makes up for it.

Noir: (Not sure... only have 1 ep) I plan to download more of this series based on ep 1, it has action, hot chicks with guns, and assassians. What more could you ask for? :)

X Tv: (24 eps) I am only half way through this series, at times it can be a bit slow but I like the characters and the powers they posses. Besides nothing like a good vs evil series eh? :)

Junni Kokki: (Not sure... only have 2 eps) From what I have seen its about a girl who is chosen to save the world from some evil. The first ep was very good.

Welp thats about it for me. I am always on the lookout for more good series tho :)
