Post interview thank you note UPDATED

Hand written, snail mail.

E-mail is NOT OK. Well it is OK, but just not if the other guy is taking the time to do what is proper - a hand written thank you note.

E-mails fly across the screen, but snailmail makes a much bigger impact.

It depends. If the business card I got during the interview lists a snail mail address, I'd snail mail it. Sometimes you get those business cards with only an email address listed. Those are the ones I'd usually email.

Snail Mail. Even if you don't get the job, it is a better image you are projecting. Thier first candate might not work out.

Email should be ok and it will get there right away and put you fresh in the interviewers mind again especially if they are making a decision right away. Snail mail could take a week to get to the person especially if its a big company.

if an email address is listed then email. Who expect snail mail these days. And i doubt it really mean much more. I d be suprised if I received snail mail when some one knew my email id.

It's not a question of expect. It shows follow through and a "I want to work for you" attitude as well as professionalism.

Still today there is nothing more professional than a business letter, properly formated and signed.
