Post here if you haven't bought a car in the past three months, and don't plan to in the enxt three months.

I expect this thread to be short lived. Seems like we have several threads per day asking "what car should I buy?". I was curious to see who's happy w/ the car they have now (or jsut can't afford a new one).

I'm not buying a new car.

I bought one in May.... oh crap, i already broke the rules

I haven't bought a car since last year, and don't plan on it until my current one dies (4-5 years?). Very happy with my Honda Civic...laugh it up all you haters out there 😉

i bought a cherokee last month, so i broke the rules. I like it so much i am considering trading my neon in for a wrangler 😀

I bought my GMC Savana Hi-top custom van last year and don't plan on buying anything soon, unless something bigger and better comes along😉

I'm very happy with my Altima that I bought last November, and I have no plans to buy anything new until this one dies (or just becomes less than cost-effective). So, something like 10 years or 200K miles from now....

I think I'll be buying one in January - February of next year. Maybe sooner if I get a job I'll be applying for.

Viper GTS

The last car I bought was a 2000 Mistubishi Galant in January of 2001. My wife and I don't plan on buying one until after we get into our house, which will be late October/Early November.

Well I'm in a bit of a fix. I see this thread titled Post here if you haven't bought a car in the past three months, and don't plan to in the enxt three months. Aside fro wondering now many enxt is, I don't like being told where to post. but If I DO post, then I have done what I was told. I guess then I would like you to view this as a non post protesting being told what to do.

PS I am not buying a car, and than goodness California is voting to rais the efficiency bar on auto makers and they are whining and screaming it will limit choice. The choice should be the one seater battery operated government made people's car or walk.

Umm...bought mine out of desparation April 2001...nice car. '99 Plymoth Breeze 2.0L. I'm content with it. May install an indash CD player next spring. Will probably be another 2 years until I decide if I am going to trade it in or buy another.

I like that one-seater battery car idea. If they would pay for it, that would be even better. Then I wouldn't have to worry about filling up with gas (saves ~$200 a month), no car payments (~$500 a month), no insurance (~$120 a month) and no maintenance (~$50 a month). That's a lot of money that I would have left every month...think of what you could do with all that!!!

I have 3 "cars" and the newest is a 82..

The other's are a 72 and a 62. I refuse to own a car I have to pay someone else to work on!!

And NO I don't plan on buying a new car soon, or EVER!! 😉

I bought my S-10 fall of 2000 (with the help of my parents, who are still helping with the payments while I'm in college). I've got 30k+ on it, and it's going to last at least through next year (when I graduate). Once I get a FT job (hopefully!), then maybe I'll consider a new vehicle, but... it's been a dang good truck for me - lot of miles for it's relatively short life, but it's pulled me through some rough spots (I'm thinking of weather & minor accidents).

Plus it's a Flexible Fuel Vehicle and I'm running E85 now, so, while being a bit on the weak side (esp for a truck), it has decent fuel economy and I feel I'm doing a decent part for the environment & reducing the US dependency on foreign oil, so, I'm very satisfied for now.

I have had my Ford Focus for a little over a year and plan to keep it for another 3 years (By then I will be 25) and then will be able to afford the insurance on something fast 😀

bought mine april 2nd, so i can post here. Although i didn't buy a car because i could afford it, nor did i really get to be picky. Car blew up on Monday, i was in a new car driving to work on Wednesday.

I bough my car two years ago and plan on keeping it for another 8. That should put me at about 250K miles. Its a nice little outback sport.

I don't plan on buying a new car for a while since I just bought a 2002 Honda Accord SE for $2,000 under invoice last month.

😀

Next time I visit AZ you're either going to buy me lunch (a good lunch or I'll settle for In-N-Out) or you're gonna get a whoppin' boy.

It was only $100 cheaper as of yesterday so that's a good thing.
