Does anyone know what the drivers install?

I don't have the CD and there are "console updates" on creative's site but I don't have the console:(

The official drivers are several hundred MBs.

I do and the drivers are a nightmare. M-Audio Revolution's going in my next build, to hell with ~2 extra fps and EAX, few games even support all that. Anyway, due to the new way they're doing drivers, you must have the CD. For owners who don't have it, there's a torrent out and about.

I have an Audigy2 Platinum.

Do the drivers on the site include the "console?"

I would like to make sure I can decode DD, DTS and the PLx and Neo:6 derivatives sinceI will be using analog out for most stuff....

I don't know. I just installed the drivers that came with my Installation CDs. What site are you talking about?

creative has drivers on their site.....I jsut wanted to make sure they did all that I needed.

I ahve been using a Soundstorm and since I got this for free (practically) I want to try it out.
I have been using Optical out but now want to try analog out since it looks so promising in my situation. Basically, do I need that 500MB worth of stuff?

Not at all, once the upload is complete.

Upload process is roughly complete through part 4 of 8. Total download will be 400MB when complete. According to the source of the image, it is the "same retail one as the green disc you get with the audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro".

Will PM the login credentials when the upload is finished - likely in the morning.

unfortunately, i think you have to use the original driver cd first, then you can web update. Its real retarded and their website sucks for dling drivers.

That sucks..I'll wait till it is posted then...

As for the soundstorm, you gotta love nvidia's drivers...all-in-one and very complete...all the functionality you need is available for download;D
