With election around the corner and the rhetoric building up, unless the election is won in a Regan/Mondale 1984 landslide, there’s going to be a significant push to manipulate the electoral process again.

Two rulings restore calm to Georgia elections rules – for now

Two Georgia judges beat back Republican efforts to cast doubt on November’s election, but the legal fight isn’t over

Made me realize the likely over arching plan we’ll see after Election Day is:
  • Put out biased polls showing Trump winning
  • When preliminary vote tally show him losing in critical swing states Republican election officials will site election irregularities and refuse to certify citing differences between biased polls and votes.
  • Use Twitter and conservatives media to pound election interference
  • Bring court cases to slow or prevent certification preferably to friendly courts all the way up to SCOTUS
  • Get it tossed to House to allow a Trump win - this may require interference of certain Dem HOR wins to prevent them from being seated in time for the HOR vote
Not sure if all that is actually possible but that’s my prediction.
 
Since this election is such a crapshoot there's only one thing I can bank on:

I keep thinking about the plot line of Season 5 of House of Cards.

I really hope that Harris/Walz can beat Trump by such a large margin that it puts to rest all of the MAGA claims about cheating. I can dream can't I?

Trump was calling the election as rigged in 2015 before the election had begun, and even after he won.

For MAGA, regardless if they won, any vote against them is not legitimate.
 
No state has ever refused to certify a presidential election, it would be a gross violation of the 14th amendment to allow one to do so and I don't think any judge in the country is going to allow it to happen. The same way it did in 2020, when they uniformly rejected every single one of Trump’s baseless challenges. There was exactly as much evidence that the CEO of Diebold rigged the Ohio results as there is that Hugo Chavez had bamboo ballots from China planted in Maricopa County, AZ.

Georgia GOP officials could say, “Well, there are blatant shenanigans in this election and we refuse to certify Georgia and its slate of EVs.”

And then about 15 minutes later a judge would order them to certify it. No state has failed to appoint electors since Reconstruction and it would be an extreme violation of the public’s rights under the 14th amendment. We'll see what they try to do.

Does the Speech and Debate clause cover podcasts?

Probably not but with the current corrupted Supreme Court, who knows?

 
To be honest, I think this time around Trump will do things that are less erratic than last time to make it look more legit. Everyone knew last time he was screaming fraud falsely, because he came out and said that when the votes were still being counted. I am predicting he will only scream when all the votes are counted, thus this time around the legal cases would start much later and closer to the deadline than compared to the last election.

IF Trump loses...and I'm not confident that he will...I expect all kinds of shenanigans from the Trumpsters...election offices infiltrated or attacked, voting machines disappearing, votes challenged, fake electors, state election officials attacked, etc. I do NOT expect him to go down quietly.
