Canada represent, woot!
I caught the highlights on Global, watched the direct stuff on CBC. Amazing concert, no question! Wish I could have made it.
For those that knew nothing about it (americans):
Show started at 1:30 pm. Jim Belushi and Dan Aykroyd opened both halves. Sets for each act varyied from 15 minutes to over an hour.
The running order of the afternoon portion included, in order, Sam Roberts, Kathleen Edwards, La Chicane, Tea Party, the Flaming Lips, Sass Jordan with Jeff Healey, the Isley Brothers and Blue Rodeo.
The evening segment began at 5:45 pm and opened with Justin Timberlake, followed by the Guess Who, Rush, AC/DC and the Stones to close.
I agree with those that said the Stones put on an amazing show! Longest act, encore to close.
450 000 people attended! Pics from the news choppers just had this sea of humanity. Apparently took about an hour to walk from one side of the crowd to the other. No riots, no deaths either! Few dozen cases of heat exhaustion and dehydration, but that was it.
All in all, VERY kick a$$!!
