Am booting up my new system for the first time and get this 7F code. I've tried almost all
of the suggestions I can find (complicated by the fact it's impossible to use Search function
by typing in a specific Post Code).

I've tried to contact Epox via their online technical support but I get an automated
response (very irritating) as this post doesn't even appear in the manual!

Anybody have any ideas on this?

Actually it does appear in the manual, although I can't really make out what would be wrong with, here's what is says in the manual for 7F:

1. Switch back to text mode if full screen logo is supported
- If error occurs, report errors & wait for keys
- If no errors occur, or F1 is pressed to continue
- Clear EPA or customization logo.

Either, try swapping your RAM, and making sure everything is sitting right. Not to mention, double check your IDE cables.

Yes, I have video okay.

Tharyn... regarding your statement that 7F ppears in the manual it actually doesn't.
7Fh is what appears in the manual. Probably a bit of a leap to assume that is the same code???

For me 7F meant that the floppy was not functioning properly, but this was obvious. There were as error on the screen that said something like "floppy failure, but F1 to continue". Once I found a floppy that worked the problem went away.
