I had a new build running stable for about 2 hours and then when I was installing some software it rebooted and now it gets stuck at the logo screen. This screen is before I can even access the bios, the LED reads 6d.

AMD 5200+ X2
7900GS
320 GB Maxtor
NEC DVDR
2 X 1gb Crucial ram

I have disconnected the power for 10 minutes, unpluged the cdrom, unplugged the hd, and still hangs on the same code. Any ideas on what the error code means or suggestions to correct the problem? Thanks for your help.
 
AWARD POST code definition 6D:
1. assign resources to all ISA PnP devices
2. auto assign ports to onboard COM ports if the correponding item in Setup is set to "auto".
 
I replaced the sata cord and am now able to get into bios. I disabled boot other devices and seek floppy. Not quite sure how are why a sata cable would go bad instantaneously...
