I've assembled new PC today: uli s1689 - sckt 939 mobo, A64 3000+, 512 ddr400, 120gb IDE hdd.
Unfortunately, during boot-up and right after the POST beep, the message: 'Post Code: 50" appears. Subseqently, the system is unresponsive and I cannot access the BIOS or any other function.
I've looked around to find that "code 50" has something to do with USB initialization - please note that I have no usb devices connected as I have not even installed an OS yet, I have only a ps/2 keyboard and a monitor. I've even gone so far as to disconnect the front usb ports, with no results.
I also cleared the CMOS via jumper with no results.
Little help? Is the motherboard somehow damaged/defective? What should I do?
