Does anyone know what this means?

I keep getting this every time I start my computer. Just a quick question...

Also, anyone getting the 0D error? My monitor shuts off and the lights on the mobo go to this. Can't figure this out. This is only after I tried hooking up my CD-RW drive... this leads me to believe power but I have 300W AMD approved so...?s

Any help is appreciated. I am goin to bed so I won't reply till morning but PLEASE help me! This is my first time building a computer from scratch and I have put in about 12 hours trying to make it work and now this new problem comes up.

Tbird 1.33 266FSB
512MB PC2100 Crucial RAM
60GB 60GXP
MSI GF2 PRO 64MB
NIC
Using onboard sound
Toshiba 16x DVD
HP 9110i CD-RW
Windows 98SE
The case is an Inwin s500 - The place sent me the wrong damn case @#$@! I will be getting the Antec sx830 soon hopefully. This case has a 300W PSU and I believe it is AMD approved.

Which nic are you using? If its the Netgear then thats most likely the problem.

Nope
SOHOware 10/100

Everything worked perfectly fine till I hooked up my CDRW then it spit out all these errors... I now disconnected it but it still gives the 39 code after going to FF then it goes to 0d and my monitor turns off.

Anyone have any suggestions??

Are you sure you set your devices to Master/Slave? 1 time my friend left both his CDRW and CD-Rom as Master and he got a whole sh*tload of problems.

I switched them. I had hard drive on 1 and DVD on 2 then I put the RW on 2 as slave. I now have them switched so DVD is on 1 and HD is on 2.

This is driving me crazy.

I think I will upping some voltages. Especially on the RAM. My PSU readings in the bios are perfectly fine. All I can recall from that is that the 5V is running at 5.1 so I am sure I am fine on that account.

Anyone ever had this problem? The 39 isn't in the book and I just don't understand the 0d code... the manual says 3 different things.

Sounds like it could be a power supply problem also. What power supply do you have?

Well, that I am not really sure about.

The guy I spoke to to complain about me getting the wrong case said it was a 300W AMD approved and it was what he used to build all the way to 1.4GHz machines. It is not the regular PS that comes with the Inwin s500 case which is what the dude gave me instead of the SX830 I was supposed to get.
maybe I should just take everything out and wait till I get the right case. I just submitted this to the Epox support also so maybe they will know.
I'm still convinced that someone here has to have seen this before... please help

The normal PS that comes with the InWin s500 is a Sparkle Power: Powerman 300. It is a VERY good power supply. If you didn't get it with yours, then whoever sold it to you took it out an most likely replaced it w/ a cheap generic.

Does it say in your user manual what the POST error codes mean? I have worked with a TH7-RAID before and the POST codes in the manual helped me out a lot.

The code 39 isn't in the manual but the 0d one is. It doesnt help me at all though, it just says what's wrong. According to it, it is a video problem and there is no video device detected.

Well, I upped the DDR voltage +.01V and it passed 3Dmark 2k1 and has been running stable for 2+hours. I guess it was because I have 2 DIMMS, they needed a bit more voltage to be stable at CAS2.

BTW you guys are much better help than EPOX. After quite a while I got a response and all it was was check jumpers/cables. AND I told him I ALREADY DID THAT! oh well. Luckily I have this place. Thanks for all the help!

btw, someone in another topic pointed out the ddr voltage thing to me, this is why I am so thankful :).
