ok, i'm not a "newb" but i still don't know what "skoorb" is.
any other lingo you guys know of on these boards?
things like "ttt" meaning to the top, stuff like that? i'm sure there are some that arne't even used much but would be good for a laugh!

 

TTT = To The Top
Skoorb = A member that posts often in Off Topic
YACT = Yet Another Car Thread
YAGT = Same as above except with girls
YSATI = You Suck At The Intranet
ROFLMFAO = Rolling On Floor Laughing My F'ing Ass Off
NVM = Nevermind


When you see "confirmed" or "Official" in the thread header, it means that the thread poster is a loser and is just looking for attention.
There is no such thing as an "Official" or a "Confirmed" thread unless it was written by a moderator.

Unless I am missing something all Skoorb means is Brooks spelled backward because he was banned for some reason originally. That is what I thought I read and could be wrong but it has no special meaning.

 

Skoorb Effect = Posting a reactionary comment in a long thread after reading only the first line of an original post. Am I right?

i just googled it and found spaceballs-- where mel brooks plays president "skroob" (anagram is "skoorb")...

so whats the story behind the term becomign so popular?!

You probably can't find it because old, old threads of inactive members sometimes get deleted. (You wouldn't find my original posts for example, if you search.) Or it may have been the many posts made during the period of the system failing with no backup.
