Since several posters constantly feel the need to "subtly remind everyone" my old handle used to be "happykitten" (like, 5 years ago) and then support each other with inane and old "LOL OMG REMEMBER WHEN HAPPYKITTEN POSTED THIS AND THIS AND THIS" posts, I figured I'd just put it out there for anyone chilling in a cave these past few years.

BTW, anyone who checks my user profile can see that my old handle used to be "happykittn". Doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure that out... although some brainiacs around here seem to get some weird pleasure from bringing it up in every one of my threads like it's a huge secret.

And for those who continue to assault my character by bringing up sordid details of the past... seriously, get over it. Most of those things happened over 5 years ago, and I'm sure many other have changed since then. I don't normally take things personally, but some of you guys (Macbaine, Corporate Recreation, HelloDeli, etc.) are getting ridiculous. Don't you have anything better to do with your lives than stalk someone online and you've never met and purposefully go out of your way to be cruel to? Good grief.

Ugh, I shouldn't even be posting this... but whatever, now it's off of my chest and you may all return to your regularly scheduled programming.

TToaster or Talkie Toaster (after Red Dwarf)
CyranoDeBergerac ('cause in high school that's sort of what I was like)
And currently Y|yukichigai or yukichigai

I mostly changed to my current nick because I wanted some nick nobody else had. I think I found one quite nicely.

maybe i created a second account on a forum , but i didn't use it much

i first started posting on internut forums in summer 2000 , at linuxnewbie.org , it has been all down hill since then 🙁
 
A long, long time ago, I used lukeskywalker on one or two old BBSes, but I switched to Jzero around 1993 and have used it ever since. I have another username that I occasionally use when jzero is taken, but I've never used on any BBS or forum, just Ebay and AIM.

That's true, I was. I'm a completely different person now than I was 5, 10, 15 years ago. That's what happens with time and age... one matures (ugh, I hate that word... makes me feel old).

Honestly CR, back then, I did post for attention... when I started posting I was at an all-girls college, and the ego boost was surprising and welcome, since I didn't get any of it IRL. However, over half a decade later, I've reached a point where I really don't need or want that kind of attention anymore (much more secure/mature/happy with myself/happy with my fiance), and now post for fun/interest/help (ATOT-ers are incredibly helpful/knowledgable).

It's just odd to me that some people can't seem to let go of their animosity generated by "happykitten"... reading old posts, I don't care for her much either. But anyway... I still make mistakes as I'm only human, and I have aways to go before I get to where I want to be, but I've learned from poor judgment I've demonstrated in the past and I like who I am now. 🙂
