(look for the person in the picture above, to give some size perspective to these pictures - he's walking along the shore)

I really need to get the ball rolling on an ATOT meet at the park this year.

Here are two photos of mine that got on the main page of interfacelift.com from my area (the painted hills is a ways from me, but not super far).

http://interfacelift.com/wallpaper_beta/details/2191/oregon%27s_painted_hills.html

Here are some cow elk with some newly born calves (look at the grass line, you can barely see their heads) - http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4059/4695536430_b904243a4a_o.jpg

Here are two panoramas of the eagle cap range right where I live, one facing the mountains and one looking out into the valley.

Mountains - http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2525/3779473557_e0ac672ef9_o.jpg

Valley - http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2520/3780280872_9ace908eb2_o.jpg

I took this standing in the spot where I was gutting my bull elk last hunting season -

And I took this one while snowmobiling with my point and shoot last winter -

Everyone has beautiful scenery and such.
But how many can claim to have a 4km wide area with no human influence whatsover.

Well, technically this specific part has seen people recently, but most of the DMZ has been untouched for over 40 years.

Here's a shot of the concrete 'curtain' that was installed over St Anthony Falls to replace the wooden one that was keeping the Mississippi from eroding the falls further. This shot was taken in the summer, there's a lot more water coming over the curtain during the spring melt.
