nope, its california. thats the monterey bay aquarium where people can ogle from the balconys at the fools paddling around in kayaks:)

u've seen the monterey bay aquarium, think startrek movie with whales:)

When it occurs from 100 Hz to 30 kHz it is quite dangerous. That figure is just an estimate because the mics would pick up too much induced voltage and fry our expensive B&K equipment! The chirp from the discharge is capable of shattering glass window panes and that frequency is in the 3kHz range!

148dB may not sound impressive to the bassheads, but anyone can generate LFE quite easily! I recorded sounds lower than 2Hz at over 125 dB at 28,000 feet from the space shuttle Atlantis!

Old timers may remember someone on this board by the name of Maiora. He had a hull test tank with a system that could generate sounds in excess of 225 dB! His studio is quite impressive with over 200 kW of power as well. :)
